My experience with Myriam made house buying actually FUN!  As a first-time home buyer in Colorado, I had my share of questions; however, Myriam seemed to answer questions before I actually voiced them.  She listened to what MY needs were and showed me homes in an area she knew was right for me, even though nothing was available at the time.  The moment a property became available in the area which suited my taste, we were on site the day the property went on the market, presenting an offer right before the property was made public.  Myriam is a true professional:  supportive, caring, knowledgeable, & experienced. Her delightful personality just adds an extra bonus to the process of searching for, finding, and buying and closing on that special house.

I am writing this letter on behalf of Myriam Johnson who was our listing and sale agent for the sale of our home in Boulder , Colorado a year ago.  She also assisted us in finding a replacement home in Estes Park , Colorado . My husband and I moved to Boulder in April 2006. We were moving from California and did not know the Boulder area. We took a trip one year before moving so that we could look at potential areas. We saw a house which was listed by Myriam so called her number. Myriam met us immediately and was so helpful in so many ways. She listened to what our needs were, went out of her way to accomodate our limited schedule, gave us a variety of homes and areas to look at so that we made an informed decision, and was extremely patient as we were house hunting with a crawling baby and a 3 year old.

We then began seriously looking several months later. Through my husbands work, we were assigned a real estate agent. We met with her several times and we decided that we were not getting the service that we needed, as she did not provide what Myriam could. So we requested that my husband's employee allow us to hire Myriam as our real estate agent, which fortunately worked out for all of us (and several co-workers have used her since).

What stood out most about Myriam was her ability to understand what we wanted. So many agents (in our experience and friends) do not truly listen to what their clients what in size/age/location/price of a home (which wastes everyone's time, something Myriam never did). Myriam, however, was very intuitive in her ability to ascertain our needs. In addition Myriam is friendly and very trustworthy as I trusted her opinion during each stage of the process.

I always felt like Myriam was a long-time friend who has knowledge of the real estate market. So fortunate we were to have found her! She is someone I intrinsicly trust and I always felt that she was looking out for our best interest.

I was relocated to the Boulder area by my employer, but found all the real estate agencies their relocation coordinator had "pre-approved" could not meet our personal need for an intense house hunt over a 4 day period of time the week before the Fourth of July holiday.  I was referred to Myriam by the realtor with whom I was working to sell my house in Texas , who had attended a conference where Myriam had really left an impression as a "go-getter."  I contacted Myriam, discussed our needs at great length, and subsequently exchanged several e-mails to deepen her understanding of our interests and acquaint us with the Boulder housing market dynamics. 

When the week of the "househunting" trip came three weeks later, we spent 8-10 hours each day with Myriam in an exhaustive assessment of the market locations which interested us, not because Myriam failed to match listings to our interests, but because our buying style is very detailed and well developed, based upon several moves we've made in the past.  We viewed dozens of homes in a variety of neighborhoods, all of which met our criteria.  Myriam was extremely patient with us, all the while adapting her schedule and showings, as we fine-tuned our analysis of the market, prioritized our purchase criteria, and narrowed our search.  We wrote an offer on the third day, received a counter, countered again, and decided to move on to the next listing of interest.  We wrote a second offer, then co-ordinated the countering via e-mail and telephone to come to an agreement.

With Myriam's wide network of service providers, we were able to shop interest rates, arrange inspections, and negotiate with contractors from a distance to arrange a closing 30 days later.  Through the entire process, Myriam was there to answer any question we had and get things back on track whenever it seemed the closing date was at risk.  She attended the closing on our behalf and ensured every detail was properly in place.  

Even well after the sale, she still serves us by providing periodic updates on the local real estate market.  She has been a trusted advisor in helping us decide on the market attraction of various upgrade options we've considered since moving in.  Most recently, she provided neighborhood comps for us to use in refinancing our second mortgage and provided the contact name at the mortgage company we ultimately used.
